Food Services Dept.
The Lassen Union High School Food Services department is dedicated to providing nutritious meals to all students and offers grab-and-go as well as eat-in breakfast and lunch choices to give our students what they need to start their day and keep them going!
It has been proven that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and provides us with the brain power we need to get us through the morning! The Lassen High Food Court is an inviting place for students to come. they can have a meal or a nutritious snack at a reasonable price while enjoying the company of their friends. Most items are portable so that students can take them outside or even on the bus for travel. We begin serving breakfast and snack items at 7:30am. We also serve snack items during the scheduled nutrition break so that students may eat something mid-morning. For breakfast and lunch each day a menu item is offered along with other favorite entrees. (Monthly menus are posted on this web page at the top right side) We can combine items to make a nutritious meal for your son or daughter. The Food Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. Our Food Services program believes that healthy bodies make healthy minds. Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand. The focus is on offering meals that are nutritious and well received by students.
The Food Services department is a state and federally regulated food service program where we are required to follow specific nutritional guidelines that ensure proper nutritional health to our student body. Meals are served to students through the federally funded USDA National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.
Meals, foods, and beverages sold or served at our school meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.
